Windows 10: Laptop Screen keeps dimming automatically

I have Windows 11. Whenever I change my display settings Extend, PC Screen Only, etc. my laptop's screen changes to the minimum. If I click on the bottom-right and I check my brightness, the scale is set to max. If I move the slider a little it changes back. It happens sometimes when I switch to full screen games Valorant. I've tried everything but it's absolutely frustrating when my laptop screen dims to minimum every time I plug in a second monitor, switch tabs, etc.

They're both off. But I started asking around people in my company, if they know something about this. And it turns out there's an easy fix. Plug in your power cable. :\
And so far it seems to work. Too bad I wasted 3 days trying all the fixes I could find ...

 

Dell Laptop Screen keeps dimming

I have had Windows 10 since day one on this Dell Laptop of mine.

For the past few days the screen keeps dimming though the setting is at 100%.

To resolve it temporarily, I cycle through the screen brightness settings until it is at 100% again.
