Windows 10: Laptop screen shows grey vertical bars

This problemx arose 1yr ago. I had a hdd with a 4gb ram,then. After it was upgraded to ssd and a 8gb ram x resolved itself. It surfaced once again after nearly half a year and a couple of months later once again died on its own. Every time x appears, my laptop can not detect its own display after waking from sleep.

Thank you for answering. The lines are fine grey lines - some vertical and mostly horizontal covering the entire screen. They last for several seconds but have been lasting longer each time they appear.

It is on a laptop, I have gone to device manager and found the monitor listed and updated, but it said I had the most current version of the driver. What else should I do, that has not helped?

Strange vertical grey line on brand new Asus screen

hi guys,

So i just got this brand new asus screen, nice screen have to say but noticed something odd on its pixels. Doesn't appear to be "broken" but there's a group of vertical pixels which you can clearly see on a white or grey background.

had to picture it with my phone as obviously you cannot screen cap that

on blue you don't see it. you can see it on red, white, yellow, white, grey....

I dropped a note to asus tech support to see what they think, i mean is not terrible but of course it's a brand new screen, or shall i use it a bit and see if it disappears?

Screen on my laptop suddenly showing grey lines across the screen for a few seconds in Firefox browser and sometimes in mail. This is something new and suggestions? I run Windows 10 on my Dell Inspiron.
