Windows 10: laptop screen shut down when i tried to install intel graphic driver

i have a dell laptop e5440 i5-4310u 2,0 ghz with in intel graphics 440 and a nivdia geforce gt 720M 8GB ram and SSD 250 gb my laptop was woking fine but one day i tried to clean it from durt and after i tried to run it again my screen turnd of afer the dell logo didnt boot to windows but my laptop was still running so i did format it and i install win8 and it run normal but after i start installing drivers my screen sot dow again when it was the intel graphic installation so i tried to run safe mode and disible the intel graphic adapter and restart the laptop again nad it worked fin so i ha

Black screen after installing Intel HD Graphics 630 driver

The screen turns black as soon as Intel HD Graphics 630 drivers are updated.

All other drivers are installed and updated.

Everything works normally until the driver is being installed. During the installation process the screen goes black. The cursor does not appear and the keyboard is still lit.

Whenever i restarted the laptop, after the windows loading screen, the screen goes back to black. The solution is to enter safe mode and uninstall the HD Graphics 630 driver, therefore
using the Microsoft Basic Video Adapter.

However, with this basic driver, the laptop performance drops in applications that require graphics processing, making it impractical to use in such situations.

I tried these possible solutions:

• I tried to install several versions of the driver, which were available on the dell website itself or on the intel website, and all of them had a black screen during the installation.
• I disabled Windows Update because it was Installing the driver automatically and the screen was turning black after a few minutes, so it doesn't work too.
• I have also completely uninstalled the nvidia and intel drivers using DDU and tried to install hd graphics 630 drivers, but the black screen still persists.
• Tried to update using the device manager. Same thing, screen still turns black.
• I also tried to use an external monitor to see if there was video, the issue persists.
• I already contacted dell and intell support, noboby seems to have a solution.

according to laptop support page they do list an old downloadable driver for intel for windows 7 , weather this is related to there being several variants of that laptop or this laptop has switchable graphics i may just suggest you reset the bios and see if things change , if yes you may be able to apply step 2 , if not then apply step 4 and call it today , you are still better off being on the high performance gpu .

Out of curiosity can you take a snap shot from Settings > System > Display. Scroll down and click the “Graphics Settings” ?

 

Issues installing Intel graphics drivers for Windows 8.1 64Bit in (Kaby Lake) laptops

Hi everyone,

I recently bought a new laptop the DELL Inspirion 15.6 Intel i5 - 8gb memory - NVIDIA GTX 1050 Ti - 256gb SSD . I was able to load windows 8.1 fine and was able to get the usb's and some drivers working. However when I try to install the NVIDIA Geforce drivers I get an error stating that I need to install the intel graphics drivers first. I tried doing that and since it is a 7th Gen Intel Core i5-7300HQ mobile processor, Intel drivers wont allow me to install them even through the device manager.

But it didnt work. Maybe I am missing something or doing something wrong. Can anyone please help? I hate to have to return the laptop because I cannot use/stand windows 10 and its practices. I listed some specs on the bottom again.
