Windows 10: Laptop shuts down during Windows 10 installation

Okay so I'm trying to upgrade the Windows 7 on my laptop to Windows 10 and it keeps shutting down every time AFTER the download is complete. It shuts down on its own and when I start it again, I have to re-download the entire thing and it shuts down at the exact same point during the installation.
My laptop's pretty old and heats up easily, so I'm aware that that could be the cause, but I don't get why it shuts down at the same point every time. Is there any way to fix this or should I just give up?
Also, is there any way to not have to re-download the whole thing every time?

Installation of Windows 10 (Upgrade in a Windows 8.1 Laptop.)

I am Using Hp Pavillion g6 2302-ax Laptop. With Windows 8.1.

I recently downloaded the windows 10 update twice, and tried installing windows 10.

during the Copying files step, it automatically gets off, as in the laptop shuts down suddenly, I tried the update twice, it downloads and then during the installation process during the restart. it goes off. could someone please help me with what to do
next.

 

Use the tutorial here in the tutorial section to download the .ISO and manually install it as an upgrade from inside Windows.

You can download the ISO from MSTechBench once. Then run the installation that way. Please see the tutorial and video here (see step #7):
