Windows 10: Laptop Shuts Down When Plugged In and Loses Internet Connection

I have a Dell laptop with Windows 10. My problem is that when I plug in the charger, the laptop automatically shuts down. Additionally, when I turn it back on while it’s charging, the internet and Bluetooth connection doesn’t work

Losing laptop internet connection (Edge)

My laptop loses the internet connection [router] - my desktop never does. My laptop also loses internet connection at work [never the desktops at work] Any ideas why?
