    Laptop shuts down when put to sleep


    Hi,I have recently purchased an ASUS Vivobook Vivobook Pro 15 M6500 AMD Ryzen 7000, 512 GB SSD and I have been experiencing this particular problem whenever I decide to turn my laptop on sleep or shut the lid.Whenever I put the laptop to sleep or by shutting the lid, I will open the lid after to see it has shut down without warning. The device is set to 'Performance mode' and my laptop is set to have this smart charging feature - I can only guess that this the reason for it shutting down. However for now I am completely unsure, and as you can imagine, it's quite annoying when you have impo

    Laptop shuts down instead of sleeping

    Hello

    My laptop keeps shutting down when I want it to sleep. Closing the lid, pressing the power button (both are set to make it go to sleep) and clicking on the sleep button from the start menu all make it shut down and I only notice that it has shut down when I fire it back up and see that everything is closed. I've tried this but it doesn't do anything and it resets the value back to 20.

    Your suggestions would be highly appreciated!

    Sleep issues?

    I'm on OS Build 22000.434 of Win11, and have PC sleep issues. Here's the experience.

    1. I'm working on my laptop. I step away for lunch.
    2. Laptop attempts to go to 'sleep'.
    3. When I come back, the screen is black. The 'red light' next to laptop camera is on and flickering, the FAN on the laptop is on full crank, and the laptop doesn't respond to any inputs. Moving the mouse, clicking, tapping the touch screen, typing on the keyboard. No response.
    4. The only step left for me is to do a hard shut down by long pressing the power button.
    This is just an observation if it helps, but it seems to happen more when I have apps left running on the desktop. (but who shuts down all their apps before stepping away from the PC to do something... like eat lunch?)

    Anyone experience this? Is there a solution for this? Thanks!

    Laptop shuts down when put to sleep

    Computer shuts down instead of going in to sleep mode

    Since two weeks my Dell laptop is shutting down every time when:

    • Closing the laptop
    • Pressing the power button short
    • Manually via the Start Menu
    All these options are set to Sleep Mode and not Shut Down.
