Windows 10: laptop shutsdown not properly instead of sleeping when I close the lid, then re open it....

Hello, I want some help to fix this issue: my laptop shutdown and gets stuck instead of sleeping when I close the lid.I have an HPVictus laptop windows 11I tried the following:1. change power plan settings sleep, hibernate, etc played with values and still doesnt work2. did update all my drivers, and also updated my bios still didnt fix it, updated to latest updated.3. did some cmd commands like /sfc scannow , and powercfg /energy, powercfg /restoredefaultschemes.Important note: when I check EventViewer at the moment this shutdown or stuck happens, it shows that there is a critical error

Laptop does not shutdown when i click shutdown and close the lid, it sleeps instead.

Whenever i click shutdown on my laptop, i directly close the lid. However, the laptop sleeps instead of shutdown. The bulb icon on my laptop which indicates the laptop is sleeping tells me that the laptop did not shutdown properly. I have to open the lid
again for it to shutdown properly. Please tell me that there's a fix to this. Thank you.

 

Windows 10 Laptop-PC, will not go to sleep mode. But it shutsdown the system when ever I click on sleep or close the lid

Lenovo Z51-70 Windows 10. OS has been updated, also all drivers. When I click on sleep, it shutsdown the system instead os sleep. If I close the lid of the laptop, also it goes to sleep. I have checked all possible settings in the power option, all seems
to be fine.

I have also tried to put the system to hibernate, still the system wont go to hibernate mode. It straight away shuts down. Please help

This scenario happens when your Power Options is misconfigured. For us to have this isolated, we suggest that you follow these steps:

• Click on Start.
• Select Settings.
• Click on System.
• Select Power & sleep tab.
• On the right side, click on Additional power settings.
• On the left pane, select Choose what closing the lid does.
• Under Power button and lid settings, click the drop down next to
  When I close the lid.
• Select Shut down.
• Click on Save changes button.
• When you’re ready to make your PC shut down, close your laptop's lid.
  

Note: Every time that you will close the lid, your laptop will automatically shut down.
