Windows 10: Laptop Sound Works with Bluetooth but Not with Inbuilt Speakers Windows 11

I'm facing an issue with my laptop's sound output and would appreciate your help. Problem Summary: No sound comes from the inbuilt speakers — not even notification sounds and this was working fine before. Bluetooth earbuds Space Buds work perfectly; sound plays normally through them. No explicit error messages shown. System Information: Operating System: Windows 11 Home Audio Device: Realtek Audio. What I've Tried So Far: Set "Speakers" as the output device under Sound Settings. Checked and adjusted volume settings to ensure they are not muted. Ran the Windows "Troubleshoot sound prob

Sound not coming from bluetooth speaker

Hi everyone,

I'm hoping someone can help with my Sony SRS-XB100 speaker. It connects to my Windows laptop via Bluetooth perfectly, but there's no sound coming out. My laptop speakers work fine, and the speaker itself works with other devices.

I've tried the usual troubleshooting steps, setting it as the default device, restarting everything and uninstalling the audio/Bluetooth/speaker driver. Any suggestions on what else I could try to get the audio working?

Issue with Bluetooth Speakers Connected but not listed in sound devices on Windows 11

When attempting to connect my Vizio Bluetooth speaker to my computer, the pairing process is successful. However, despite being paired, the audio continues to play through the computer's built-in speakers instead of the connected Bluetooth speakers. Notably, the Bluetooth speakers do not appear in the mixer settings, preventing me from redirecting the audio output.

Observations:

• In Settings -> Bluetooth & devices -> Devices -> Audio, both Dell U2723QE and VIZIO SB3651 are listed.
  
• In Settings -> System -> Sound -> All Sound devices -> Output devices, only Dell U2723QE is listed.

Troubleshooting Steps Taken:

• Repeated pairing attempts.
  
• Checked the mixer settings, but Bluetooth speakers are not visible.
  
• Verified Bluetooth speaker functionality on other devices.
  

Note: I have come across multiple reports online highlighting the same issue with Bluetooth speaker connectivity on Windows 11. Despite the prevalence of this problem, it appears that no tickets or decisive action has been taken by Microsoft to address this issue. Therefore, I am posting this problem again in the hope of receiving assistance and contributing to the resolution of this widespread concern.

 

Bluetooth Speakers disconnect when trying to play sounds

I forgot to mention that it only occurs with the Laptop referred to above. I am certain that this problem is software related, i.e. the Windows 11 framework. I strongly suggest to patch it, as the following also applies:

- the speaker works perfectly with other hardware, incl. Apple/Android cellphones and laptops with Windows 10 OS

- Windows 11 OS recognises the speaker as a screen (why though? It is just a speaker.) as such icon is displayed in the devices list once connection is established (be reminded that the laptop only disconnects when trying to actually USE the speaker as a peripheral device, see above)

- other Bluetooth devices work perfectly with the laptop, i.e. bluetooth headsets
