    Laptop stops responding to one machine only


    A very strange thing has just happened. Laptop A had been viewing Laptop B with no problem but then suddenly Laptop A could no longer see Laptop B at all. No ping response, no file view. However Laptop C and Linux A could both ping Laptop B. But, when I pinged Laptop A from Laptop B, Laptop A could once again see Laptop B.


    Anyone provide any explanation of why this happens and if there is something I can do about it as a similar situation often arises when laptops reboot.


    Laptop A is running the latest Insider build

    try the card in another machine is all i can suggest now. If it works in that one but not urs then obviously the card is not compatible with your motherboard. Last resort is to tell Asus to go suck on donkey balls and get a different make of board

    Windows Updated(16299.309).KB4088776 Restart is required to complete.


    Hi dalchina. Good news, I followed your suggestion and reinstalled the update and now it appears as "installed correctly" *Biggrin Maybe it was not necessary to run the Windows Update Troubleshooter or maybe if necessary. But using it I do not think it could have worsened something. The installation was very fast, unlike the first time it showed step 1 and step 2 completed.
