Windows 10: Laptop stuck at MSI screen after update, problem getting worse - I have tried literally...

Hi guys

I have an apache GE62 6qf apache pro, running windows 10 home. I've had the laptop about a year and a half and it is still under warranty at the place i bought it, but i would rather try and get this fixed before replacing it.

For a long time, I have been unable to update to windows version 1909 - every single time i have tried, I have gotten stuck at the MSI screen afterwards, unable to go any further without turning the machine off and on again. When checking the error on windows update, I have an error code: 0xc1900101 - I have tried googling this and i've tried every suggestion i have been given to fix it.

I have tried removing all USB connections, I've tried uninstalling the antivirus, I've tried running troubleshooters multiple times, I've tried doing a safe boot and running the update from there, i've tried checking my disks for corruption.

I haven't been able to fix it, and not only that - the problem seems to be getting worse.
Before, whenever I restarted the laptop for an update, it would get stuck at the MSI logo, but when restarting otherwise it was fine - however, recently, it has changed, and it gets stuck at the MSI logo ANY time I restart for any reason. This means I can't update ANY programs that require a system restart, and I can't even restore the laptop to factory settings because it gets stuck at the MSI logo when doing that.

I am at my wits end and have tried literally everything. I am not super computer literate, but I need my laptop for my illustration work and I'm worried that i'm not going to be able to do it much longer since i effectively can't update anything, including art programs and tablet drivers.

Any help, advice you could give would be very, very much appreciated. thank you.

windows update stuck at installation screen and cannot get to desktop

Hi Sue,

To understand the issue better, I would like to ask some questions:

• Is the computer stuck in the Installing updates screen?
• For how long is the computer stuck in the screen?
• When was the computer last updated?
• Is the screen showing any percentage of installation?

Sometimes the installation might take a long time to install if the update is of large size. So, I suggest you to wait for sometime and check if the system boots to the desktop. If it is taking a longer time, then perform a Power Drain by following the steps
provided below:

• Shut down the Computer.
• Remove all power source (including battery if it is a laptop).
• Press and hold the power button for 15-20 seconds.
• Connect the power source and start the computer.
• After the computer boots to the desktop, suggest you to install all the pending updates.

MSI GX630 Laptop screen problems!

Basically i was on my Laptop yesterday and the battery ran out, now i tried turning it back on whilst using the AC Adapter when it finishes loading the MSI screen it moves onto the windows log in screen this i know. The thing is after the MSI Logo the screen just stays black. The Lights are on and the screen is lit but it just doesn't show the log on screen.

Any help please.

P.S. I tried to do a System Restore but before the application gets to load i get Blue screened and told to press F8 for Safe Mode. I tried this too and Safe Mode doesn't load it stays on a file loading please wait for ages.

 

Laptop with broken screen How much?

I would like suggestions and look in local stores. I dont wanna buy a laptop from someone online. Sorry. But could be a good idea if you asked him about the performance on older games. Gonna make a list ofall laptops people suggest me.

Remove the screen for space purpose here its small desk and if the screen is opened it will hide my 22 inches lcd
