Windows 10: Laptop thinks I'm a child and I can't purchase Micrsoft 365

I recently purchased a new laptop - a Lenovo IDEAPAD. When setting up the laptop I was asked to sign in to Microsoft, which I don't really use. I ended up creating a new Microsoft account, but for some reason I was forced to set up parental settings, thereby identifying myself as a child. My year of birth is set to 2024 and I can't change it, and this makes it impossible for me to purchase Micrsoft 365 which I need for work. Can someone please help me?

There are several ways for you to purchase the game so your daughter can play it on her account. With your permission, you can change the account settings online and allow purchases on your child's account. Allow purchases on a child account, you may follow
the steps below:

• Log in to your Microsoft account on the
  Microsoft Family Page.
• Look for the Child account email address and click on
  More Options.
• Select Spending and click Change content restrictions to change the settings.
• Once the settings are changed, you can purchase the game using your child's account and download it on her computer.

Note Make sure that the
Xbox Live Service status is up and running before purchasing or managing the Xbox Live accounts online.

The greater availability of more information to more people is a beautiful thing, it should be pretty obvious what an educated human can accomplish by now.

Could you suggest a list of books that contain all the information on the internet and where to buy them for the same cost per child as these laptops?

 

Child Account Get Greyed Out

Thanks for the suggestion, but I did the following instead.

I have another laptop, 2 weeks old, with Windows 10 Home on it.

On that one, I tried the same steps with the child account, and got the exact same results.
