Windows 10: Laptop turns on but has a black screen after Win11 update

I recently bought an Alienware laptop from a friend. I did a local reinstall as requested and ran into a sound issue. I quickly realized that since I reinstalled Win11, my drivers are outdated. So I downloaded and used Driver Booster. After it downloaded the drivers, I restarted the computer and all worked fine for almost the whole day. Then I got a notification to restart the computer for a Win11 update. I left the laptop alone while it got updated. I come back 30 minutes later to see that my laptop screen is completely black but the keyboards are lighted up. It didn't turn back on after usi

Black Screen During Driver Update

I reinstalled my laptop back to factory settings, and I wanted to update the GPU drivers. But when I try, the screen turns black during the update, but the computer is still running. I was forced to turn off the computer and turn it back on. I used system restore, so now I'm using the default drivers that came with the laptop. Can you guys suggest anything?

 

Toshiba Laptop Black Screen

I have a Toshiba Laptop, Was reinstalling windows 7 on it last night left it doing the updates then shut it down. Turned it on this this afternoon only to find the laptop screen is Black and also there is a burning smell coming from the Fan.

I connected the Laptop to a external monitor that is fine, Can go into bios, Windows boots up fine Etc.
Just took apart the laptop earlier to check all the cables where in correctly, Checked the motherboard over for any damage, burnt bits but but found nothing. Just put it back together now but im still getting this burning smell and i still cant use the laptop screen only a external screen.

I Tried Pressing FN+F5 to switch to the laptop screen, But still black screen. Any Suggestions please ?

I am aware of the present situation is that your laptop is not turning on after experiencing a black screen, in order to help you better, can you please tell me some details:

1. Can the current PC see the BIOS icon when it is first started? If so, we can try to solve this problem from other dimensions.
   
2. Assuming that the current device cannot see the BIOS interface icon, the cause of the problem may be the corruption of the BIOS /hardware damage of the CPU & GPU/failure of the cable connection of the display screen.
   
3. If it is convenient, please check whether the current notebook has an HDMI interface. If there is an HDMI interface, you can try to connect an external monitor and see if the screen can be output. Please note that if the picture is output normally, it usually represents the hardware of your CPU/GPU works normally, you may need to consider replacing the laptop screen at this time to solve the problem.
   

Here are some steps that might help you check for a black screen:

1. Check the power source: Ensure that your laptop is properly connected to a power source. If you were using the laptop on battery power, connect it to the charger and make sure the charger is working correctly.
   
2. Disconnect external devices: Remove any external devices such as USB drives, printers, or external monitors from your laptop. Sometimes, faulty external devices can cause issues with the startup process.
   
3. Perform a hard reset: To perform a hard reset, follow these steps:
   
   a. Disconnect the power adapter from the laptop.
   
   b. Dismount the back cover of the laptop and remove the battery (if it's removable).
   
   c. Press and hold the power button for about 15 seconds.
