Windows 10: Laptop unable to run on battery after latest Win10 update

Greetings,


I have a laptop from a brazilian brand called Avell, my model is called B155 Fire.


Anyways, my laptop has worked wonderfully so far, but just today I started having a new problem: It just doesn't work on battery. The battery icon is there, but it shows an x marker instead of the battery. If I hover the mouse cursor on it, it says "100% - fully charged". However, I tried removing the AC adapter plug from the computer, and that instantly shut it off as if there was no battery at all.


I have searched all over the internet for an answer, but most of them say it's the battery, but I have run Windows Powershell on Battery Performance and it shows that my battery capacity is the same for the nearly 3 years I have this laptop. Even yesterday the battery was alright, I even used it for a bit, as I mostly use the laptop with the adapter in and the battery as safety measure should the lights go out or something like that. The lifespan of my battery is usually of 3 hours if I use it exactly as I'd use my laptop with the adapter on, and this without the power saving options enabled, it was like this even yesterday. This started precisely today, as yesterday my laptop downloaded the latest update. A friend of mine confirmed his laptop is having the exacet same issue for the exact same amount of time. I saw someone saying that disabling fast startup might help, but I didn't try this option yet (I restarted my laptop to dodge the fast startup, but the battery issue persisted).


It's important to note that, as of today, the laptop won't even turn on with only the battery. It's AC Adapter or nothing.


Tho I can't really disable windows updates, since I use my laptop for gaming and it requires the O/S to be always updated, what can I do? Is there something I can do to change this or should I simply wait on Microsoft to fix this with a new update?

Win10: windows update stuck at never ending loop ?

When in win10:

• Update&security -> Windows update -> Finding update... .... .... ....

Planning to download the latest Win10.ISO (vers.1803) and manually update:
- Then wait that my ordered new SSD arrives and clone the old HDD to it.

What is the latest stable build of Win10 ?

Does the Win10 update's "keep my files":
1.) Remove Firefox Mozilla's saved user+pass list ?
2.) Remove HP laptop's pre-installed drivers & programs like: HP utility, HP cool sense and such...
3.) I have also a online-paid MsOffice 2013 and update probably removes it... Do I just pick the serial number and use it again ?
