    Hello. I have had this issue where my computer isn't using my Nvidia GPU when I game or anything else. It instead is using Intel Integrated Graphics. This has been occurring ever since I switched out my HDD for a new one. I have already installed the latest driver for it twice and did DDU the before the second install. I don't know if it's still a driver issue or something else. Because I am getting low fps in games that I normally get good fps in. I ran a benchmark on user benchmark and instead of benching my GPU it benched the integrated graphics. I did the benchmark before I did DDU and rei

    I have a similar (same) problem with my ASUS laptop.

    My Laptop: ASUS F550L laptop

    SPECS:

    Windows: Windows 10

    Processor: Intel Core i7-4500MQ CPU @ 1.8GHz

    RAM: 8 GB

    System Type: 64-bit Operating System, x64-based processor.

    GPU: NVIDIA GeForce GT 740M

    Integrated GPU: ?

    DirectX Version: ?

    I have tried the steps listed above but they did not resolve the problem.

    I have attempted to download an updated driver but my driver was reported as 'up to date'.

    What do I do now?

    I recently upgraded to Windows 10, and after the installation I went to launch a game from my library, but instead of the usual 60 fps that I am used to, I received a meager 23 fps. I immediately went to check on my NVIDIA Control Center, but it would not
    open.

    I then found the newest driver for my graphics card and downloaded it, all went well, was able to open up the control center once again.

    I set all of my games to the "High performance NVIDIA graphics card" and clicked Apply changes. I then opened up a game and to my surprise, it still did not use the NVIDIA GPU, instead using the Integrated card. So I closed the game, Right Click on the Game>Run
    With Graphics Processor>High Performance NVIDIA Graphics Processor.

    It still did not work.

    My Laptop: HP ENVY-17 jo53ea

    SPECS:

    Windows: Windows 10

    Processor: Intel Core i7-4700MQ CPU @ 2.40GHz

    RAM: 12 GB

    System Type: 64-bit Operating System, x64-based processor.

    GPU: NVIDIA GeForce GT 740M

    Integrated GPU: Intel HD 4000

    DirectX Version: 12

    Please help! This basically renders my games unplayable!

    MSI Laptop monitor uses integrated graphics vice NVIDIA card

    I have an MSI laptop with a 120hz-capable monitor and a NVIDIA GTX 1060. Unfortunately, the monitor is using the integrated graphics card for the display instead of the NVIDIA card. How do I force it to use the NVIDIA card for the display instead of the integrated graphics card?

    Issues I'm seeing: This force-limits my refresh rate to 60hz and causes noticeable visual performance issues in everyday applications on Windows (e.g., the screen lags when dragging an Excel 2016 window across the screen)

    Observations: I dual-booted into Ubuntu and the screen refresh rate is now 120hz. So, since it works on Ubuntu but not on Windows (by default), I know this should be solvable at the O/S-level.
