Windows 10: Laptop WiFi option gone and shows Ethernet unplugged/broken

My laptop says ethernet not plugged in/broken but I never have an Ethernet Cable, I tried to search for solutions but they all say enable the LAN adapter too but I also don't have it too, apparently I'm using an adpter called espress vpn TAP adapter. I tried restarting and shutting down but no change.

No wifi options show up

I have a wifi box connected to my pc with a ethernet cable. I haven’t payed my wifi bill so i’m trying to use another wifi option but they don’t show so i’m left with no wifi for my pc. I’ve unplugged the ethernet cable, unplugged the wifi box, ect and nothing works

 

Why is wifi cutting out on my Laptop?

I downloaded a older driver but just then the wifi on my laptop cut out again, with the wifi saying "No internet" in the menu. I ran the troubleshooter and it tells me to plug in a ethernet cable. I didn't have one, so I clicked "Skip this step" and the diagnosed problems was that "The ethernet cable is not properly plugged or broken." Any advice would be appreciated, although I have gone through the step of disabling the Ethernet driver on my laptop.

 

My ethernet is pretending to be unplugged or broken since upgrading to win 10

Evening all

My Ethernet cable was working fine an hour ago on windows 8.1, its a brand new cable and a brand new laptop. The wifi is working fine since upgrading to windows 10, but my Ethernet cable says its either unplugged or broken

It is most certainly not and ive tried unplugging it and plugging it back in, turning it off and on etc.

To no avail - I'm not very technical so a simplistic answer worthy of a woman whose brain is full of dusty fluff would be appreciated..
