Windows 10: Laptop Wifi Problem

Hello,


My laptop has this problem, where the wifi suddenly dissapears/disconnects when I start playing normal Computergames, for example League of Legends or Roblox. The no wifi icon pops up and when i click on it, i can only turn flight mode off or on, but cannot turn wifi off or on, because it is simply not there. Sometimes even a Bluescreen appears where it tells me that there has been an error, and they are trying to fix it and that they are restarting my Laptop. This has botherd me for a while now about a month or 2 but it has gotten worse. The problem only appears when I play games, but not when i use Youtoube, Google, Gmail, Twitch, or even normal Apps like Discord or Music Apps. Ive tried to follow youtoube guides where i had to reset my Wifi adapter, network and all sorts of stuff. I even scanned for a virus some Weeks agoi had one but it has been removed i think and i even resinstalled Windows 10 a couple of days ago. I do not know what the problem is, or what i have to do. A friend of mine who is good with Computers said, that it could be a Hardware Problem a cable of something and suggested me to buy a USB Wifi Adapter. I really need help, because this Problem has been bugging me very much lately. This Laptop is also quiet new 2years and I would prefere to keep it for another year or 2.

Please help me if possible.

Wifi and browser problems with windows 10


I'll tell you how I fixed an identical problem on a ASUS laptop that had run perfectly on Windows 7 and ran well on W10 from January until the Anniversary update in early August. I tried everything I found on this forum and two others. Nothing worked. The last thing someone suggested was disabling the adapter and using a WiFi dongle. Problem continued. Nobody suggested changing the wireless network adapter. I bought and installed an Intel 7260 WiFi card and just used the driver which was downloaded on the reboot after the install. All problems solved!!

I must have wasted two months reading and trying everything. Even the manufacturer support inferred I needed a new machine though they sent me a Windows 8.1 driver to try, with the same result.

I'd suggest contacting the manufacturer to determine if they white list any cards and see if they have suggestions for a compatible card. They may want you to buy another laptop but if the cards aren't white listed, a simple card swap to one compatible with Windows 10 seems to be the answer.

 

HP Pavilion laptop wifi problems

Couple of things.

First, I'm almost positive that model of laptop was part of the big HP recall. The cooling was sub-par and the chipset had the problem with the solder failing due to heat.

Second, the WIFI starting to fail was an early sign that the laptop was close to dying.

 

Best laptop under $800??

Well the last one I suggested seems to be the best for 650$
