Windows 10: Laptop will boot into Linux but not Windows

I'm having a strange issue with an old laptop. It's a dell inspiron 15 7560, friend thought it was dead and gave it to me.The initual issue was that it wouldn't boot no matter what, it'd just get stuck at the preparing automatic repair screen. Here are the things I had tried and the results:removing and reinstalling ram/ssd - nothingrunning automatic hardware check + full memtest - came back cleanresetting bios, updating to the newest bios - nothingbooting into window restore/recovery service - it does not boot into the recovery service at all, not automatically, not manually, just gets s

How to go about building a tri-boot system?

i dual boot all the time, and going in to tri boot is easy.

step 1) partition the drive in to 3 partitions ( leaving 1 empty for the linux installer. )
step 2) install windows on the first 2 partitions.
step 3) install linux, and let it auto partition the remaining space. ( i recommend at least 30gb of space for linux, because it will make things a lot easier. )

step 4) enjoy.

 

dual booting Windows and Linux

I was wondering if theres a way when dual booting Windows 7 and Linux Mint, to have it boot Windows by default and possibly not show the GRUB menu, and if I press a certain key, have it boot linux instead?

Is this even possible?

 

Windows 8 Secure Boot Feature: Not So Secure?

So Linux is switching to secure boot also? Or they have to because of UEFI?
