Windows 10: laptop will not autoconnect to wifi ever since windows 10 build number 1803

Hello


Ever since the windows 10 build number 1803, my laptop will not auto connect to wifi. Today I updated to build number 1809, and still the problem persists. The drivers are up to date and I have been on the phone for hours with Microsoft Tech support and no one can find a solution.


When I run the trouble shooter, I get an error message "A network cable is not properly plugged in or may be broken." I don't know what that means.


But the wifi works if I manually connect, which is annoying if I have to do it every time.


I was wondering if anyone had any ideas. I am not too tech savvy.

Laptops cannot access desktops via WIFI


I have 3 desktops (all on Windows 10 1803) connected on my LAN. After following this forum for some times and did all the steps as suggested by forum member, access denied, all my desktops are able to view and access one another. I have a printer connected to PC1, and managed to connect all the other 2 PCs to have the shared printer.

I also have 2 more laptops (both Asus with the same Windows 10 1803) connected via WIFI. Performed all the same steps as per the desktops, but I was not able to access PC1. I was able to view all the 3 desktops from the file explorer, but I just can't access all the desktops. However, I was able to access the Asus laptops from desktop PC1.

Anyone able to assist on this matter? Any assistance is highly appreciated.

 

Wifi mobile hospot is not appearing in laptop (Windows 10)

Hi.

I am facing problem to connect my Redmi mobile hotspot connection to the laptop. Although, my laptop is working well and able to connect wifi signals except for this mobile hotspot. On the other hand, redmi mobile hotspot is also working well on other laptop,
mobiles or other devices.

Both the devices are working well, but mobile's hotspot is not appearing in the list of available networks on the laptop. I have updated drivers of the laptop, performed troubleshooting, and once reset network settings. I have done the same thing in mobile,
but the problem remained.

Please try to help me.....

The build number of windows is "version 1803 (OS Build 17134.286) I am using Dell Inspiron 3543 (Service Tag:
9RNNF32). Actually, mobile's WIFI is not appearing in the list of available network.

The title is wrong.
It's version 1803, the actual build is 17134.1, at the moment.
