  1. Laptop with broken screen stuck on factory reset for 34+ hours

Hi, everyone. My 3 year old Asus laptop had been acting weird for the past few weeks basic programs like file explorer and task manager didn't respond, games didn't load, etc. so I decided to do a factory reset to it. Before I went to bed two days ago, I backed up my files to OneDrive and chose the delete everything option, the cloud windows download option and the clear drive option. Yesterday I woke up and the reset was still going on, and, 34 hours later, it still is or so I assume. The problem is that my laptop's screen is almost completely burnt I don't know the technical term, and

  2. Reset stuck at 34%

I started a PC reset and it has been stuck on 34% for almost 2-2.5 hours.

The laptop I am resetting is an Acer Aspire 5 with a dual SSD and HDD (128 SSD and 1Tb HDD) with 8 GB of RAM and an I7 intel processor

Is it normal with these specs to be stuck on this?

Also, is there something I can do to stop it without corrupting windows, files, etc?

I would like suggestions and look in local stores. I dont wanna buy a laptop from someone online. Sorry. But could be a good idea if you asked him about the performance on older games. Gonna make a list ofall laptops people suggest me.

Remove the screen for space purpose here its small desk and if the screen is opened it will hide my 22 inches lcd

I did a full factory reset and it's been stuck on 99% for about 34 hours now.: I had Windows 10 but it was originally a Windows 7. Considering it's not supported anymore, would that be why it's "stuck"? I don't know the specs but it's an ASUS ROG G75v. submitted by /u/p-sychi [link] [comments]...
