Windows 10: Laptop with soldered 4GB 2666MHz RAM. Added 8GB 3200MHz RAM, boots with 8GB but won't boot...

so i have a laptop with soldered 4 gb 2666 mhz ram and i have bought a ram of 3200 mhz 8gb when i insert the ram and start the laptop it boots and it do shpws the 8 gb ram installed with its 2666mhz but when i shut the laptop and then reopen it, i doesnot bootup what can be the possible fault and can it be fixed?

Windows shows 8GB RAM installed but 4GB RAM is usable

I've just upgraded my pc from 4GB RAM to 8GB RAM. Windows seems to have detected this upgrade but why does it show as only 4GB RAM available. The following is what I have tried so far with no luck:

• I have tried the msconfig method on ensuring maximum memory is not checked.
• physically removed the new RAM and reinstalled it

Any thoughts/suggestions on how i can resolve this matter?

Compare performance between 12gb ram (8gb + 4gb) and 8gb ram (4gb x 2)

I am Dave, I will help you with this.

The more RAM you have the bester your PC will perform, so, 12GB of RAM will be better than 8GB of RAM, so 4GB + 8GB will be better than 4GB + 4GB for performance.

 

8GB RAM not being detected in Boot up menu on Windows 10

hi and thanks in advance for any help , my pc can run upto 16gb ram but was on 4gb I wanted to increase this to 8gb.

When I put in the 2 sticks of 4gb its not registering 8gb only 4 I'm running 64 bit windows 10 but on boot up its only showing 4 can anyone suggest what might be causing this. don't no weather resetting bios is an option any help would be gratefully excepted.
