Windows 10: Laptop won't start, keeps asking for bitlocker key and showing "your device ran into a...

I recently did a system restore because an external wireless mouse i connected wasn't working. Ever since, my laptop hasn't been switching on. When I turn it on it says your device ran into a problem and needs to restart, and then prompts me to enter my bitlocker key. When I do enter it, it shows a page with the options of troubleshooting, exiting to windows 11 or completely switching off my laptop. If I select exit to Windows 11 it just keeps doing the same thing over again, showing my device ran into a problem and needs to restart and it keeps going in circles. It's driving me crazy. Any ide

Device listed in MS account but bitlocker key not showing up

I've had to replace the motherboard of my laptop an ASUS B9. Now the computer is asking me to prompt the bitlocker 48 digits. The bitlocker i assume it was enabled at factory by the manifacturer. The device was correctly registered with my Microsfot account but it does not show the bitlocker ID and Key corresponding to the machine.

I've been crawling around and consulted all the sites, including this thread where an user has my same issue: Redirecting

Any suggestions ? I cannot afford to lose some documents for an HW incident when my PC was correcty registred in.

Asking for Bitlocker recovery key on login

So I was playing with BIOS settings for reformatting my laptop and reinstalling Windows using bootable USB drive. I didn't succeed and I probably did something stupid. Now I'm not able to login into my laptop. It's asking me for bitlocker recovery key on both disabled and enabled settings of secure boot.

On "Enabled" setting, it says "Bitlocker needs your recovery key to unlock your drive because Secure Boot policy has unexpectedly changed."




On "Disabled" setting, it says "Bitlocker needs your recovery key to unlock your drive because Secure Boot has been disabled. Either Secure Boot must be re-enabled, or Bitlocker must be suspended for Windows to start normally."




I don't have a recovery key. I don't remember setting one. I even searched for it in my Microsoft account. My device (ASUS X205TA) is listed but the recovery key is not.

Note that I don't have any useful data in the laptop, so I'd be fine with reinstalling windows even if I loose all the data. I just want to be able to use my laptop again.
