Windows BSOD - Inaccessible Boot Device

BSOD'd today on completion of KB4058258. HP Notebook type 17-bs0xx i3-7100U running Win 10 home x64 1709 (16299.192).

"inaccessible boot device"

Reverted to pre-KB4058258 restore point, apparently successfully, but still hosed.

System HD passed short DST's, long DST running now.

Same update today on another HP and a Dell, with no apparent problems.

Had no rollback, but did the update and tried all of the drivers listed there. However, reset the display percent back to 150% and still the window in question ran off the bottom of the screen not allowing access to the buttons. Also only allowed adjusting
the edges out, but not in.

Under installed updates, could not find any for the graphics driver, but it only provided back to the beginning of 2017 (When I purchased this laptop).

As far as doing a system restore, I haven't a clue when this problem began as the problem window is from a recently installed program. Actually, I remember having this problem before, but always fixed it with the "Advanced Display Setting", dropping the
display percent and then increasing the fonts/icons with this Advanced setting option.

So, obviously there is no way to determine when this started or when a driver (if it is the driver), was installed. Not sure why the driver would prevent reducing the size of a window, or preventing a scroll bar????'

My Graphics card is an Intel 620, driver: 22.20.16.4749 dated July 2017

Update: Downloaded latest Intel driver (12/7/17), but would not let me install, not authorized by HP. Downloaded latest driver from HP, no difference. Removed driver and rebooted, with same driver re-installed as was already there. In every case, that has
been zero difference in the height of these windows.

The only solutions I have found to reduce the height of windows, is increase the resolution, or lower the display percent. But on each of these, fonts and icons then become smaller than I desire. Seems Microsoft needs to return the Advanced settings or a
setting which makes the windows adjustable or provides a scroll bar.
