Windows 10: Laptops display possibly burnt the whole laptop?

Hello Today i was working on a laptop and by chance picked up a old lenovo thinkpad from 4 or some years ago, i plugged it in and it blinked on for a second and turned off. when i opened the laptop i saw that the LVDS cable was loose and wasnt properly connected. thus i connected it and tried again but it wont turn on anymore, there is no indication of any life. now i do have tools to try and examine this but i was just wondering if theres a possibility of me actually burning or triggering an electric fuse or anything. Confusing statement! You want to change the display on your laptop that died?

Is that correct?

How do you know its the display that's bad?

Just google "how to change display on a acer 5745"

Should get you to step by step instructions. But first make sure its the display that's bad

If you are not sure what is wrong or what you are doing with it, I strongly suggest that you take it to a competent, local, authorized Computer Repair Specialist.
