    Laptops freezes for a couple of minutes before starting up.


    When I power up my laptop, it initially shows a blank screen for a few minutes before the Windows login screen appears. Occasionally, I have to hold down the power button to restart it, after which it works perfectly fine

    Start menu freezes for less then a minute

    When I click on the start menu, the start menu freezes for less then a minute. This issue happens randomly. Only the start menu freezes not the computer. If any of the program is open on a different 2nd monitor I can use the program without any issue. I'm
    the only person in the organisation facing this weird issue. All the computer in the network is connected to proxy and AD.

    I have already tried the following:

    1. I had a look at the event viewer for the issue
    2. I ran "sfc /scannow"
    3. I have reset zone in Internet Explorer
    4. I used the computer without proxy
    The issue still exists. I can't afford to re-install Windows on my organisation laptop because we are just so busy with the projects with tight deadlines. Please anyone can help me out here.

    Everything Freezes every couple of minutes


    So I recently upgraded to Windows 10, but this issue has carried over from Windows 7, though it's seemingly worse now.
    Every couple of minutes, it lags out for about 1-2 minutes. First the page freezes and I'm able to move the mouse for a short while longer, then the mouse starts lagging all over the screen. It does this whether I'm on the internet, just using the notepad, whatever. It's very annoying....
    Also, the internet is constantly going out. My laptop being the only device in the house effected. It tells me "limited connectivity" or something and it usually lets me back on after I close out my internet browser. Also very annoying as I go to school online and take tests and things >.>

    When I enter the Event Viewer and go to System, the internet error appears, but nothing for the lag.
    "WLAN AutoConfig detected limit connectivity, performing Reset/Recover.adapter.

    Code: 8 0x0 0x0"

    any help or further guidance is appreciated.
    In case you can't tell, I don't know much when it comes to fixing problems with my laptop x.x

    I was working fine on my laptop when it started freezing suddenly - it's just a 3 weeks old laptop so this was weird. Turns out my Windows 10 got updated and is making my laptop freeze. And the types of freezing are different too. Sometimes it freezes at
    the boot screen, sometimes on login screen and sometimes after a couple of minutes of operation. The fan also starts whirring and is very noticeably noisy. I read a few articles on this forum which suggest going to safe mode, but windows is not even allowing
    me to reach that step and hangs before I can do anything. Whenever it was a bit okay I even tried checking task manager for CPU utilization and all is fine there too. It's been a day I'm struggling with this issue and I'm not able to reach any recovery options
    either as it freezes before I can get to it. I'm a computer grad student and have a lot of assignments to be done that depend on how well my laptop (read: OS) works, so please help me with this issue. Thanks!
