Windows 10: Large microsoft update 1703,or,1709 causing problems with our pc

This update from about a year and half ago has been a constant headache. It does not work with our acer computer, many others that have our model have the same issue. Acer will not do support or patches for the updated windows 10 because it orginally had windows 7. Most of the time we are able to stop the download but once in a while it make it thru .Then we just go back to the restore point before the download .This time that did not work .I have been on with 3 Micosoft techs in the last two days, everytime they try to restore it back tothe prior version it does not work it goes back to the update version and nothing works on our computer. We had to find away to get the explorer. exe to work so we could just get online . Can't get into setting or anything . The last tech was on with me about an hour ago they tried restore, went thru the process shut down rebooted and I am back were I started and lost contact with that tech. I think my computer is done for because of the update .I am really fustrated .


Added note when Itried to go into the control panel abox poped up with a big red X it said An Attempt was made to reference a token that does not exisit the code on there was :26EE0668-A00A-44D7-9371-BEB064C98683)

Yesterday MS released patches for older versions of W10 (1607 and 1703) but not for 1709!
It seems that some shit is going on lol

That makes sense, but my intention was to possibly do both. I already have several 1703 Macrium backups. What is your experience with 1803. Have they addressed the problems it had when first released?

I've had major problems with every feature update since the anniversary update, so I'm very cautious. I want to give myself plenty of time to get adjusted.
