Windows 10: Large white line down centre of printed jpg file

Discus and support Large white line down centre of printed jpg file in Windows 10 Network and Sharing to solve the problem; When I print from a jpg file it prints with a large white line down the centre of the page.     When I print from a jpg file it prints with a large white line down the centre of the page. All my other files print ok. Thank you.

    Why is it that I have white lines on my HP Officejet pro 6978 when I use my laptop to print the photos. But it doesn't do it when I print photos using my iPhone 7 plus. I have a HP Envy X360.

    So I have a HP Envy X360 laptop and my printer is a HP Officejet pro 6978. Well when I use my laptop to print it will print out white lines. I know it is not the printer because it has done this before with my last 2 printer I have. Also how I know it's
    my laptop is because I used my iphone 7 plus to print out the same photo and it has no lines on it also. So how do I fix this problem on my laptop?

    Printer now prints off centre

    Here are couple of steps that I would suggest:

    • Turn off the printer.
    • Unplug the printer cable.
    • Leave it off for 2 minutes.
    • Plug the wire in.
    • See if it resolves the issue.
    • If it does not then do it this way: "While the printer is turned on, unplug the printer cable, allow it to rest for 10 min".
    • Turn it back on, once on go ahead and do the printer alignment.
    • Now after the printer alignment is done then try to print and check.
    • If this also does not fix then we would have to check by resetting the printer.
