Latency issue caused by dxgkrnl.sys in Windows 10 2021

I've tried every solution that was in an older thread and I've got pops and crackles in Cubase. The problem mysteriously appeared about a month ago and despite trying every solution NVIDIA 3D settings, uninstalling every Intel, Realtek & Killer WiFi App, stopping all antivirus, Firewall protection amongst many other things... I still get and Audio Performance issue. I've got a brand new Dell XPS 9700. I've also changed all the BIOS C-states, Speedstep Turbo boost and Hyper-threading options. No luck with anything.

So, I'm at a total loss that I have this problem on a new system that is more than twice as powerful XPS 9700 2021 in every way compared to my previous laptop XPS 13 from 2017.

    :)

    Wdf01000.sys Latency - Windows 10

    Hi,

Wdf01000.sys is a Microsoft driver file. The wdf01000.sys
process should not be deleted or prevented from loading each time Windows loads.

We would like to know more about your wdf01000.sys and latency concern:

    • Were you getting errors with wdf01000.sys? If yes, Can you send us a screenshot?
    • Which program or application were you using in audio recording?
    • What equipment or devices were connected to your PC when you were recording audio?

In the meantime, check out this article for tips on how to improve
    PC performance.

    Looking forward to your response.

  3. Latency issue caused by dxgkrnl.sys and ndis.sys in Windows 10

Yeah, it's a combination of things.

    My combination is this,

    • CPU power saving / latency caused by this feature eliminated by setting a higher value for
minimum processor state I've set 50% as minimum.
    • AIDA64 / some sensors can cause latency. Turning them off eliminates this problem "Fan divisor reconfiguration" and "Low-level SMART operations".
    • Network (ndis.sys) / only manage to reduce latency (I think) by changing some adapter settings.
Like I've said before. The only way to fix this. Is if Microsoft works with the developers to remedy the problem. Either they don't know how to solve it, or they blame us for having 3rd party software. If this were Open Source developers it would have been
fixed as soon as the second person raised the issue.

BTW, what software are you using to measure the latency, and what Windows version do you run? I never had this issue with versions prior to Windows 10.

High DPC Latency caused by wdf01000.sys

    Hello,

I am posting this regarding a problem that I ran across in my laptop at the beginning of august 2019, the problem is that I am getting high DPC Latency levels that are apparently caused by wdf01000.sys according to the latency checking
    program, latencymon.

I really want to know if there is a fix since I have browsed a wide range of sites trying to find a fix, I could not find any. And also my keyboard stopped working for some reason, if its ok I would like to find a fix for that, but
I prioritize fixing the high latency over the keyboard.

Thank you for taking your time to read this.
