Windows 10: Latency Issue

I have been having latency issues when ever I start up a video game, no matter what the game is. Some games are worse than others and I've been looking every where for a solution, however with no such luck. Any assistance in this matter would be extremely helpful. Bellow is that information for the test I ran on LatencyMon. That's what the auto setting will do since you're over the 1333 mark it jumps to the next step which isn't listed or officially supported I assume by that ram.

At this point though I would suggest dropping the multi one step or .5 so that we can get something stable and possibly take the heat issue out of the picture for now.

 

Suffering bad intermittent latency issues. Need helpful procedure.

Hi all,

I use a UK Dell XPS 8700 mid 2013 which I have had from new.

I have been noticing (particularly Audio) latency issues for around 3 months, even after getting months of intermittent sluggishness e.g. lumpy browsing.

It has now got to the point its a real problem.

Even after a clean reinstall of Windows 10 pro I was still suffering.

Could someone who already knows about fixing this Latency problem kindly suggest a procedure to help?

Notes:

• My use is 70% a mixture of creative stuff like Audio, some video, or replaying iTunes Movies, tunes etc.
  
• ....and watching/listening Youtube account for about 15% and about 10% for not really important games.
  
• I use a 2022 Focusrite external sound card.
  
• I don't want to reinstall Win10 etc. again.
  
• I don't want to remove the apps I have installed and configured.
  
• I have run anti virus checks including Adaware. All negative.
  
• I have run Latencymon on the suggestion of Focusrite and can see plainly that there is a latency issue, but I do not have the knowledge to interpret it and correct the issue.

DPC latency issues on Windows 10 1903

I understand that you are facing DPC Latency issues. I certainly appreciate your efforts in trying to resolve the issue.



However, I would suggest you uninstall the Realtek Audio drivers completely.

1. Press Windows key + R. This will open
   Run. Alternatively, you can go to Start and search for ‘Run’.
   
2. In Run dialog box, type ‘devmgmt.msc’ and hit enter.
   
3. Expand Sound, video
   and game controllers.
   
4. Right click on the Realtek drivers and click on
   Uninstall.
   
5. Check the box Delete the driver software for this device.
   
6. Click on OK.
   
7. Do not restart the PC.
   

Download the latest drivers from the
Realtek website and install them.



However, I would suggest you to upload a feedback hub entry using the Feedback Hub app on Windows 10, and share the link with us. Kindly follow the steps below to share the feedback hub link.

1. Press Windows + F key to open
   Feedback Hub app.
   
2. On the left hand pane click on the Feedback section.
   
3. Select My feedbacks and click on the
   Feedback you have provided.
   
4. On the right hand side click on Share and click on
   Copy link.
