Can the classic shell of Widows 8 be applied to Windows 10

 

Do I need to uninstall "Classic Shell" before downloading the Windows 10 Upgrade

Like Windows itself, Classic Shell is being constantly updated to stay compatible with Windows. If you want to continue using Classic Shell, just make sure you update it to the latest version before upgrading Windows so it remains compatible.

apparently you have to re-compile a skin file, little bit too involved for right now, I'll get to it later but, thanks for egging me onto that!

 

You can use that app that allows you to edit themes. I forgot what it is called..*Mad

Yup! I'd rather have fun compiling my own scripts, etc. than have a utility or plug-in run it! *Wink

 

I use to use that on Win 7 seems like so many years ago. I had a collection of about 50 Themes. I use to mod them to my liking but All I use on 10 is CS.

 

Trying to get Classic Shell and cascading menus, etc. to look like this;
(Helluva lot of work script compiling!!!)
The default menu included in this skin is horrible!
