latest cumulative update KB 5043050 for windows 2019

We are currently using Windows 2019 DC, OS build 17763.5936 and 17763.6054. We see that the latest cumulative update for September is available, but our Windows server only shows the August update KB5041578. We would like to know if it is mandatory to install the August cumulative update in order to receive the September update?

    :)

  2. Cumulative updates for Windows 10 and Windows 2019 server

    Hi,

Do the cumulative updates for Windows 10 and Windows 2019 server always contain all previous updates. This seems to be the case for the following reasons :

1 - The size of the KB always increases

2 - If we update with the latest cumulative KB, and after that, if we try to install the previous KB, the "already installed" pop-up appears.

We need to keep a fleet of machines (connected on a local network, no web access) up to date. The questions are as follows :

    - If we always install the latest cumulative KB on these computers (for these OSes), are they protected for all CVEs fixed by previous cumulative updates?

    Thank you for your understanding.

    Best regards
