Windows 10: latest definition for defender stuck downloading 0

Anyone having issue with the latest defender definition, it is stuck downloading at 0 percent for about 20 mins now. I rebooted and tried again, it found the update but still sticks on downloading

Definition Update for Windows Defender Antivirus - KB2267602 (Definition 1.285.432.0)

Tried a manual check for updates on the defender app/portal but they just endlessly says checking for updates

Windows 10 Pro, all up to date, except:

For a few days now, Automatic Updates has been stuck on:

Definition Update for Windows Defender - KB2267602 (Definition 1.257.1365.0)

Status: Installing - 0%

It has downloaded and installed a couple others in the mean time, but still goes back to the same one, apparently downloading, but failing to progress past 0% for installation.

Of course, I have rebooted, and tried again, with same results.

 

Windows Update stuck at downloading

Hello!

I have a problem with an update being stuck at 0% downloading both on my PC and laptop. The update is Definition Update for Windows Defender - KB2267602 (Definition 1.229.674.0). It is preventing another update from downloading - Feature update to Windows
10, version 1607. I have tried suggested solutions such as restarting the Update service from windows troubleshooting and the manual restarting the services with administrator privileges in command prompt as described in the community but to no effect. I have
restarted windows defender and manually downloaded the latest definition updates and it recognizes that the definitions are up to date. Unfortunately, the update downloading is still stuck at 0% as mentioned at the start. I currently have no other updates
to download but am worried that I won't be able to download them when they become available if I don't fix this problem. Thank you for your suggestions!

 

Downloading updates stuck at 0%


Hello everyone, Windows Update has been stuck at 0% every time I've tried in the last couple of days (see screenshot). These are the two updates available:

• Security Update for Internet Explorer Flash Player for Windows 10 for x64-based Systems (KB3103688).

• Cumulative Update for Windows 10 for x64-based Systems (KB3105213).
