  2. Media Player will not burn CD's

The update program that comes up with an error is Office XP Service Pack 3.

I tried to update media player, but it tells me there are no updates available.

I went to delete and reinstall, but cannot find media player in the change/delete program list.

I changed the burn program to slowest, no good. So tried at every speed, no good.

I checked media player auto correction wasn't on.

I have gone into features and unchecked media player, restarted laptop and gone in and checked it again.

When I bring up media player, tools, devices, CD Drive - I only have options of Play back & Rip, there is no Burn option as suggested in one forum.

A few days ago when I did a test on media player, a message came up saying the program wasn't compatible with the laptop.

The program came with the laptop, how can it not be compatible?

When I try to download the latest version of media player the message comes up that I have the latest version.

    ????

Burning CD with Windows Media Player

    Hi Carey,

Thank you for posting your query in Microsoft Community.

I will be glad to assist you with this.

Firstly, Windows Media Player requires that content intended to be burned to discs be first stored on the computer's hard disk. Therefore, I would suggest you to copy all the songs to a folder first and then proceed to the next step.

Once that is done, I would suggest you to refer to the help article below for steps to burn the CD and check if it helps.
