Windows 10: Latest Realtek HD Audio Driver Version [archive]

This happens when IE 11 64 bit enhanced protection mode is enabled (it is disabled by default)

Running Windows 10 Preview on an old Samsung NB30 netbook, Windows auto-installs/updates the Realtek HD Audio package.

It slows my system causing the CPU to always run at minimum 10-20% when idle. This is due to a process called "Windows Audio Device Graph Isolation". My simple way to fix this was to let Windows update all latest updates, then go into programs and uninstall "Realtek HD Audio". After the reboot, right click on the speaker into "Playback Devices...Properties...Enhancements" and click disable all enhancements. After that, CPU now idles at 1-2% and system is again usable.

Hope this is helpful to somebody out there...

 

Silly question but is there an updated driver for RTM version 10240?

How do you install the .CAB files?

please don't link to any Realtek audio drivers from the secret Realtek FTP site anymore, Nemix.

Versions 7560 and 7564 are now available on MS Update Catalog (need Windows 10 build 10240 to use)
And 7553 from Intel.

I grabbed the latest driver 7564 from the link for build 10240 but I am still getting low audio. I have the volume maxed on both the software and the hardware. I can hear the audio but it's real low. Is anyone else experiencing this?


UPDATE:
I switched the cables around to the front imputs and ran a test and I have full audio but the rear is still very low.

 

you probably need to replace your speakers and get powered speakers from Altec Lansing (if you are using a desktop computer) - one that has hardware volume controls on the speakers themselves [like the Dell AX210 speakers that came with my family's Dell Inspiron 620 desktop PC; I had to connect both the USB & audio cables (usb for power, audio to the audio jack at the rear) and adjust the hardware volume control on the speaker itself]. if you still get low audio, even with new powered speakers, then there's something wrong with the rear audio jacks and your PC needs hardware repair.

speaker quality makes a huge difference, whether using a desktop or laptop computer, regardless of what audio driver is used. most laptops (old & new) have mediocre speaker quality (or average at best).

note to Brink - v7565 just came out today 7/27; both 32bit & 64bit. WHQL for Windows from Vista to 10.

I have powered 5.1 surround speakers but they are not working from the rear outputs. I tried the link you have for 7565 and windows doesn't detect it's any different than the 7564 driver

 

How do I install that was downloaded through MS catalog? I found a series of dll files but I could not find setup.exe. What should I do?
