  1. Latest update removal?

I'm trying to find a way to get rid of the 12th oct update cause getting used to it just endlessly irks me. Little things like not automatically having the search bar prioritised when I open a new tab of chrome, to the way the ui now looks when you right click an icon in the taskbar. I've had updates turned off for this exact reason since I first got this PC- I don't even understand HOW or WHY this update ended up getting installed cause I certainly never wanted it.

My last update in the Installed Updates list was on the 12th of June in 2019. I've seen a couple guides online mention rolling back/recovering when your preferred version of windows dates back before march. Does anyone here have any links to good guides for that, and do I need to back up personal files before rolling back?

    :)

    Latest update removal?

Windows Updated(16299.309).KB4088776 Restart is required to complete.

Hi dalchina. Good news, I followed your suggestion and reinstalled the update and now it appears as "installed correctly" *Biggrin Maybe it was not necessary to run the Windows Update Troubleshooter or maybe if necessary. But using it I do not think it could have worsened something. The installation was very fast, unlike the first time it showed step 1 and step 2 completed.

Thanks for the suggestions and for the time to respond Latest update removal? :) Best regards.

And thanks for the tip of that program, I'll have it on my list.
