  1. Latest update to Windows 10 Pro causes my laptop to jump into tablet display

My Windows10 Pro recently updated (October 2019). This was a major update taking about one hour to complete.

Since the update, my computer display jumps into a tiled mode randomly, when I am moving the mouse or hitting the space bar.

From research on the internet, I believe this is something called "Tablet Mode".

I read the procedure for turning Tablet Mode off - it was already turned "off", but I toggled it "on" and "off" several times, ending by leaving it "off".

    The problem persists.

This is very annoying - I have to mouse around to find the tile I was using _(There it goes again!).

How can I kill this "Feature" completely and permanently?

    :)

Latest update to Windows 10 Pro causes my laptop to jump into tablet display

Microsoft to make Windows 10 updates mandatory

Well, at the moment at least, you can choose to defer upgrades. Under Settings > Windows Updates > Advanced options you need to check the box labeled "Defer upgrades". What does that do? Good question. The answer I've found might illuminate it to a degree.

    http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows-10/defer-upgrades-in-windows-10

I hear this only applies to Pro and Enterprise editions. But I can't verify that.
