Windows 10: Latest version of Avast Antivirus

I updated to the latest version and now each time I reboot it brings up a UAC window asking permission to run. Never did previously.
It's listed to start with the PC in msconfig.

 

I'm a huge Avast! fan, but, I think I will stick with Defender for a while, until the dust clears.

 

Any word on release date?

I am using AIS 2015.10.3.2223 now as well. Works fine.

So is Avast better than Windows Defender ?

 

Without any doubt. Smaller update size, light on resources, Good AV rating. and Defender is just a base line suit it ain't even up on a level to get compared with avast! any way.

I've been a Kasperski user for a few years now, but after upgrading my main box to W10, and experiencing the Kasperski vs W10 Start Menu issues, I tried Avast AIS trial. I'm very happy with it, I love the interface. I have 3 days left on my trial, should I pay the money and make the switch? I still have 2 months left on my Kasperski subscription.

 

I use AIS and switched from Kaspersky with 6 months left of my subscription. KIS was giving me problems. But the decision is yours.
