Windows 10: Latest Windows 10 Update is utterly broken! DO NOT UPDATE!!

Yeah i figured i'd try and make people aware that the latest Windows 10 update is pretty ****.

I just installed a new SSD as boot drive a few days ago and i was update to go change that in for warranty until i try one final thing of reverting back to the previous version of windows, which fixed EVERYTHING.

The issues are subtle but very pervasive which is why i attributed it to my new drive at first.

Anyway, i updated Windows about a day or so after installing the drive and getting all my date sorted. After the restart my pc kept booting into recovery mode and showed my drives wrong, so i went into the bios and saw that the wrong boot drive was selected, changed that, ran recovery and then it worked for a bit before giving me the same issue again after one or two more restarts. Took me about 5 hours yesterday but i finally got it to boot reliably after running recovery one or two more times. (which i thought was already reseting my windows update). Ran the disk doctor on my avast and i tells me there's some errors and i let it do it's thing to fix that.

Today i get back on to do some work, and i notice that a lot of my file metadata is incomplete, especially longer song and album titles where just missing parts of it. Editing the metadata manually and saving it, wouldnt do anything, the title would still be incomplete. So i copied them from a backup that has all the metadata intact, only to find that once copied the exact same parts where missing again. Tried copying them to my HDD to see if it had the same issue, but i wouldnt allow me to do so even though i am the admin on this system. Had Avast and other Apps become unresponsive and some links on them not work at all while others worked just fine.


Revert back to previous version of Windows from the settings as a last resort before calling for warranty on my drive, et voila everything works perfectly fine again.

Windows 10 Anniversary Update Issues

Wow I just updated my Windows 10 to this latest version of 10 (it did it itself) and its so much slower! and again open GL is broken....This OS just gets better and better....

Win10: windows update stuck at never ending loop ?

When in win10:

• Update&security -> Windows update -> Finding update... .... .... ....

Planning to download the latest Win10.ISO (vers.1803) and manually update:
- Then wait that my ordered new SSD arrives and clone the old HDD to it.
