Windows 10: Latest windows 11 update has caused USB device issues

System:Windows 11, 12th gen intel CPU, Asus Motherboard z690, - system was functioning perfectly Pre update.Post installing:2022-10 Cumulative Update for Windows 11 Version 22H2 for x64-based Systems KB5018496 ;I now no longer have access to my webcam not recognised and my Mic not working properlyI have restarted PCI have uninstalled and reinstalled all drivers for webcam and mic, including USB serial bus controllersRestarted againI have disallowed "switch off to save power for usb devices in settings"Apps are given permission to use bothBasically I have tried everything....How this up

February Windows 10 Update Causing Loss of USB and Blue Screens!

As posted over at Computer World, the February Windows 10 patch for the fall creators update to version 1709 is causing serious crashes and loss of USB.

When most everyone is using USB ports for their mouse and keyboard, this will render them inoperable.

Best case is to uninstall the Feb update:

I suggest you to follow the methods below and check if it helps.

Method 1: Run Hardware and Devices Troubleshooter

Windows 10 has a built-in troubleshooter to check and fix issues with hardware and devices. I would suggest you to run this troubleshooter to check if the issue is with your device. Refer these steps:

  Press Windows key +X, select Control panel.

  Change the view by option on the top right to Large icons.

Method 2: I suggest you to update the USB Drivers.

Try updating the latest USB devices from the manufacturer's website and check if the issue persists.

b. Expand the USB driver.

c. Right-click on the USB and click on Update driver software.

d. Restart the computer and check.
