Windows 10: Latest windows update has caused hatch patterns to print solid

In apps that previously printed hatch patterns when a PDF, metafile or print is created, now there is just a solid area. When will this be fixed.

after latest windows 10 update, I cannot even print offline, also it says is preview loading, but it does not

Fix printer problems

Step 2: I suggest you to check the status of
Print Spooler service and check.

Print Spooler service, spools print service and handles interactions with the printer.
If you turn off this service you won’t be able to print or see your printer.

Steps:

• Press Windows + R to open Run command, type
  Services.msc and press Enter.
• Search for Printer Spooler service, right click on it and
  Start the service.
• Also, set the Startup type to Automatic.
• Now check if you are able to install the driver.

Printer will print test patterns, but not documents.

I have a Cannon Pixma MG5520 that can print a test pattern just fine, but when I try to print a document in just prints out that number of blank pages. I have not used that printer in a few months, and when I put new ink in it and printed out a test pattern,
it seems to print just fine. but when I tried to print a document, it will only print out at best a watermark, but usually the pages are blank. I have already upgraded the drivers off of Cannon's website.

I'm at a loss.

Is your printer connected, did you update the latest drivers?

As of now I would suggest you to run Print Troubleshooter.

The built-in Printer Troubleshooter can automatically detect and fix most of the incorrect settings and errors that could cause issues while printing. I would suggest you to run this troubleshooter to check if there is any issue with the sound. Refer

• Click on Troubleshooting and select the
  view all option on the left pane.
  
• Click on Printer troubleshooter and follow the online instructions.
