  1. Latop Audio won't function after having connected seperate widescreen monitor w/ speakers.

After unhooking my HDMI cable for an attached widescreen monitor, the sound on my laptop stops functioning. Neither through the internal speakers or headphones. It believes the internal speakers (for some reason and from what I can tell in the sound troubleshooters) need plugged in through an HDMI like the monitor, but it's simply not true.

The only real fix for this way reinstalling windows, which isn't a real fix. The very first time I hooked up the monitor and disconnected the same issue happened. Per windows, all my audio drivers are up to date.

AMD High Definition Audio Device is what is listed.

    :)

  3. How do I get audio from my AIO computer speakers while using a second HDMI-connected monitor which does not have an audio jack or speakers?

My All-In-One Acer desktop monitor failed. So I got a new monitor (without speakers and audio jack) and connected it to the AIO using a HDMI cable. The display worked perfectly, but now there is no audio because the monitor doesn't have speakers nor an audio
jack, and the sound does not come from my AIO audio jack since I am using a HDMI cable to connect to the new monitor.

When I changed my primary screen back to the failed AIO, the sound works great from the audio port of the AIO, but alas I won't have a screen!

I have tried the procedure below with a bit of success, but the sound comes out very muffled.

    1. Open Sound panel
    2. Select Speakers as the default playback device
    3. Go to the "Recording" tab
    4. Right click and enable "Show Disabled Devices"
    5. A recording device called "Wave Out Mix", "Mono Mix" or "Stereo Mix" (this was my case) should appear
    6. Right click on the new device and click "Enable"
    7. Right click on the new device and click "Set as Default Device"
    8. Double click on the new device to open the Properties window
    9. Go to the "Listen" tab
    10. Click on the "Listen to this device" checkbox
    11. Select your HDMI device from the "Playback through this device" list

    Can someone help!

Latop Audio won't function after having connected seperate widescreen monitor w/ speakers.

Can't select paired bluetooth speaker as sound output (Windows 10)

I just got a new bluetooth speaker, an Urbanears Stammen (concrete grey)

I can connect to it from my phone, using Bluetooth, and play back sound no problem. But I can't get my Windows 10 laptop (Dell XPS 15) to use it as a playback device.

I can connect and pair to it no problem, as you see in the screenshot below

It also shows up under bluetooth in the device manager. It's not listed under "Audio inputs and outputs", which I thought it should be, but I can see it under "Sound, video and game controllers".

I found this relevant superuser question: Windows 10 computer paired w/ bluetooth speaker, but doesn't send music to speaker

And I tried the suggested steps listed there, but nothing helped Latop Audio won't function after having connected seperate widescreen monitor w/ speakers. :(

Any further ideas I could try?
