Windows 10: Launch/Graphics/Program errors and more in Windows 10

I’m using a 7-ish year old Dell Inspiron 17R I know...it’s an absolute dinosaur which has never given me any issues.


About a month ago the laptop would fail to boot up when the power switch was pressed. The Dell loading screen would appear very briefly but then the screen would go black and the fans kept

working. I discovered that by manually restarting by holding the power but in for a moment then system would successfully boot and caused no further issues.


Last week i had accidentally let the device shut down improperly as it wasn’t plugged into a power outlet. When I tried to restart it after this I ran into major issues. The device wouldn’t boot. However after many attempts at restarting it, it evetually loaded onto the Sign-in page and let me enter the desktop. I immidately tried scanning the C Drive and everything came back good. After trying to scan using the Command Prompt a host of errors were found which Windows was unable to fix with no alternative solution available. I checked the BIOS and everything seems good.


I cannot access almost all of my programs and apps Photoshop seems to work a little bit and I’m getting errors upon errors on my Desktop.

I’m not super-techie but understand that Windows directed me to a log file where I could see certain files that were corrupt.



Does anyone know what this is and a possible

solution?

Microsoft signals end of Paint program

Microsoft has confirmed that it will continue to offer its graphics program Paint.

In a recent update, it had listed Paint as a feature that would be either removed or no longer developed.

Paint, renowned for its simplicity, has been part of the Windows operating system since its launch in 1985.

Microsoft suggested it would not remain on Windows 10 by default but did say it would be available for free on the Windows Store.

Why did the startup window get cleared?

I didn't missed any step, the list was gone and gone , even after using lot of programs the programs were not listed in that list.
