Windows 10: leave a family group

i need assistance with removal of my account from the Microsoft Family group, as the organizer account is cannot be accessed as of this moment

Family Organizer Leaving Family Group

Hello Lee Wilfert,

Glad to see you in Microsoft Community.

• If Mother was the administrator of the Family Group, you can exit the Family Group directly, and Mother will automatically become the Family Group organizer.
  
  If you want to stay in the Family Group, you need to rejoin, either as an administrator or as a regular Family Group member.
  
  Visit Getting started with Microsoft Family Safety for more details.
  

• If Mother was already a member of the Family Group, you need to remove her from the Family Group, then add it again, and need to select "Administrator" when selecting the role.
  

Meanwhile, you can dissolve the Family Group, and then let the new organizer send an invitation to re-establish the Family Group. Visit Leave family group or remove members (microsoft.com) for more details.

Family Organizer cannot leave family group

As I describe in the title, I cannot leave the family group. The instruction suggest the following:

1. Using a web browser, sign in to family.microsoft.com.
   
2. Click ... next to your name and select Leave family group.
   
3. Select Remove to confirm.
   

However, I cannot locate any ... sign next to my name. Please help me with this issue.

 

Last member (Adult) unable to leave Family group

Why not set up an admin account with documented password, add it to the family group? Then you can take your account out, and still have (or leave) an admin/family group access account available. Just a thought/suggestion...
