Windows 10: Left arrow key hits a random combination of keys

i don't know how to best describe it, so i'll start from the beginning.


i was playing Google Earth VR when all of a sudden the music gave out. i looked at my desktop, and nothing seemed wrong until i tried clicking around and opening my browser. for some reason, something was constantly muting and unmuting my computer's sound and typing the | key, no matter where i went.


i attempted to unplug and replug the keyboard, no fix. uninstalled and reinstalled drivers for my mouse, keyboard, and sound, no fix. i attempted to go back to a back-up- which failed, for some reason- and i eventually did a soft reset and reinstalled windows. nothing changed until i fully powered off my PC, unplugged it, and opened it up to see if something was lying on a cable *somewhere*.


now, everything seems fine... except that whenever i hit my left arrow key, it instead does what seems to be a combination of hitting shift, enter, 5, and the the backslash/vertical bar key all at once.

down arrow key stopped working

My razor lycosa down arrow key decided to not respond at some point today. The other ones work and so does the numpad arrow if i turn off the numlock. Sounds like its just broken and im screwed, but any suggestions?

 

Combination of CTRL, SHIFT, ARROW keys not repeating

OS: Windows 10.0

Machine: Dell Inspiron 5559 (it's new so I know there is nothing wrong with the hardware)

Here is the predicament I am faced with:

When I use a combination of the CTRL, SHIFT and RIGHT (or LEFT) ARROW keys to let's say select text in a Word/Google document, the combination works once but does not repeat itself if I keep holding down the
keys (it used to on my last laptop which had Windows 7 installed on it).

I have already checked the Ease of Access Center. Sticky, Toggle and Filter keys are all OFF.

I have disabled the Intel HD Graphics hotkeys.

I have researched probably about 20 articles but nothing.

Guys, this is very important for me to fix because I work with text a LOTTTT and have to use this combination very frequently. So any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

PS: CTRL and RIGHT (or LEFT) ARROW keys combination still works and it repeats if I press and hold those keys. But for whatever odd reason, CTRL, SHIFT and RIGHT (or LEFT) ARROW keys combination is not repeating.

 

Left arrow key only works as a down key

Since I first got this computer, the left arrow key has only ever worked as a down/left key. By this I mean that every time I hit the left arrow, it goes down a row and left by a little bit.

Another problem that may be related is that the delete key deletes letters from the beginning of the line and not from wherever the cursor is placed.

I can't find any setting that can fix this issue and no one else seems to have this exact problem. At first, I tried to ignore the problem but it has become increasingly problematic and I can no longer just ignore it. Any help is appreciated. Thanks!
