Windows 10: Left mouse button clicking multiple times

When I hold left mouse click down and run my finger around the left click, whilst still holding down it, it unclicks and clicks again. This can happen multiple times in one hold. This makes it frustrating when dragging things across the monitor. I have had the mouse for a while and it has only just started doing this recently. I have tried updating the drivers and used compressed air but to no avail. The mouse is a Roccat KONE AImo.

Windows10 - Single mouse click causes multiple responses

In Windows 10 64-Bit, a left mouse click causes multiple actions (i.e. the mouse left button acts like it has been clicked multiple times); does not happen all the time but does most of the time.

I would suggest you to install available Windows updates including Optional updates and check if that helps you. If the issue still persists, refer to the following suggestion.

Method 1:

Please follow the steps to run hardware troubleshooter on the computer and check if that helps you:

a) Press Windows and X key together and select Control Panel.

b) Click on Troubleshooting.

c) Click on View all option on the left side of the Windows.

d) Click on Hardware and Devicesoption.

e) Click on Next and follow the onscreen instructions to troubleshoot the issue.

Method 2:

Uninstall the mouse drivers from device manager:

a. Press “Windows + R” keys to open Run window.

b. Type devmgmt.msc in the run option and click Ok.

c. Search for the mouse or touchpad drivers and right click the mouse driver listed and click Uninstall.

d. Click Uninstall, restart the computer and check if that helps you.

Windows 10: Mouse unresponsive to left and right click

Mouse left and right click buttons unresponsive for periods of time seemly at random.

• Mouse tried: wired, wireless, wireless, Bluetooth, surface typecover cover touchpad and all possible combinations at the same time. Left and right click will be locked for periods of time. Persists through restarts. Persists through unplugging/replugging all mouse type device.
  
• Mouse scrolling and cursor movement is not affects (just right and left click does not work). Keyboard works. Touchscreen works.
  
• Sometimes mouse click works on taskbar, but not on any foreground applications.
  
• The only fix known so far is by starting an application called X-Mouse Button Control. It is able to "unlock" my mouse buttons. Before finding this solution, I needed to restart multiple times.
