Windows 10: Left mouse click stops working in Hyper-V windows 10 Home virtual machine (Host is Windows...

I tried looking through all the entries with the search feature. Surprised to find so many entries about something as basic as a left mouse click. Why is this still an issue? It appears to have been an issue for literally YEARS! Once I start up my VM, the left mouse will work for maybe hours, or maybe just minutes, and the only fix appears to be restarting the VM. This is ridiculous! Has anyone found an actual workaround or fix for this issue? Not a happy camper. Thought using Hyper-V would be a great idea for making virtual machines for different dev environments, but not when something as basic as a left mouse click stops working all the time.

As of this writing, I am using the latest configuration setting (v8.3), and have made sure both host and VM are running the latest version of Windows. Could it be that my VM is Windows 10 Home edition, and the host is Windows 10 Pro?


Any ideas or fixes would be greatly appreciated!

Hyper-V, VM, Virtual Machine

You will have to ensure the Virtual Machine is running and connected to the Internet.

This means the physical host, the machine itself must be connected.

My Windows 10 Pro that I use to host a virtual machine using Hyper-V had a windows update failure and is unable to boot. I have tried to system restore with no success and also startup repair with no success. My next step was to try to reset the PC and
I would like to know if resetting the PC will delete my Hyper-V virtual machine?

The folder where your VM is do you see a .vhd file?
