Windows 10: Left-right arrow suddenly gone in Microsoft photo viewer

I recently had an update of Windows and I suddenly noticed that the left-right arrow in Microsoft photo viewer is gone.

So when I want to open a folder and I want to view all the pictures in that folder I need to open them individually instead of clicking on the arrows to browse them.

Is there a solution to this?

Windows 10 default image viewer

I suggest you to follow the below steps in order to change the default image viewer to Paint.

• In search,
• Type Default Programs.
• Check whether Windows Photo Viewer is listed in the list.
• Left click on the photo viewer and select the option paint.

Windows 10 Photos App Left/Right Scroll arrows missing in some photo folders but not all

Thanks Paulself but this seemed to have no effect. I followed all 15 steps to the letter on my Google Drive folder. It seemed to work through all the files reassigning the permissions. Still, with any folder with a mixture of photo and non-photo files, no
left right arrows in the Photos app. Even in a folder with all jpg files, I have to select all the files before opening them to be able to nav left right arrow.

AAAAND back to Picasa.

All right.. I just did a reset, and same issue!
