Windows 10: left side of screen is gone, want it restored

I cannot recover the left side of my screen on windows 11. Back and forward are not visible. I'm not real smart about computers. My computer is an ASUS laptop. I need this working, I'm dealing with very important paper work and need everything working correctly. I try to keep things updated for what I know. any help would be greatly appreciated. The person who always helped me has passed so im at a loss. Thank You

Why did the startup window get cleared?

I didn't missed any step, the list was gone and gone , even after using lot of programs the programs were not listed in that list.

Unable to double click windows icon on lower left of screen

Thank you for your reply, appreciate the time taken by you in keeping us updated on the status of the issue.

Please be informed that, if we single left click on the Start button it will open the tiles menu. We no need to double click on start button to open this tiles.

However, the issue is causing from last week, I suggest you to restore the system to the previous point where PC was working normally. To do so kindly follow the below given steps:

• 
  Press Windows + I key and click on Update and security.
  
• 
  Click on Recovery, and click on
  Restart under Advance startup.
  
• 
  In the Windows Recovery Environment, on the Choose an option screen, click
  'Troubleshoot'.
  
• 
  Click, Advanced Options and then click on
  System Restore.
  
• 
  Follow the onscreen suggestion to restore your PC to earlier point.
