Windows 10: "Legal" paper size option is not displayed in the default WIA2 UI

Hello Team,I have a WIA driver; when scanning from Feeder through WIA scan, the default WIA2 UI displays, "Legal8.5*14 inch" paper size option is not available in the paper size dropdown, even though 'Legal' size is supported by the driver.is it the windows WIA behavior? on what basis paper sizes are displayed in the WIA2 UI ?

Before printing PDFs from others, is there now a pre-requisite to check Paper Size until Automatic Rotation works? is it possible default print setting differs for another user?

It will only landscape for following Printer settings:

1. Default
   
2. Customized
   
3. Automatic
   

It is difficult to stop printing after first page did not come up correctly. Environmentally speaking, this is causing much paper to recycle.

The alternative are not automatic

1. NOT use automatic; this means I have to manually change setting every time I print?
   
2. My printer manufacturer suggested "Choose paper source by PDF page size”
   
3. change Paper Size by Printing to another PDF
   

Is there automation when Automatic Rotation is not working for printing Legal Paper Size?

After several days, we found another person do not have same problem with default print setting; how is this possible; is it possible default print setting differs for another user?

 

Cancel button is disabled for preview option during WIA2 Scan

Hello Community,

We have WIA2 driver installed and configured. WIA2 driver uses windows provided default UI.

When Preview option is selected in 'New Scan' window, 'Cancel' button gets disabled. User will not be able to cancel the preview.

Can we customise the default UI to enable 'cancel' button during Preview?

Printer's default paper size ignored

I often print to PDFs. My PDF printers are set to a default paper size of Legal. But when I print the size is Letter and I have to change it each time. This used to work. I'm not sure when it changed.

• Windows Setting Manage Default Printer is not checked
• Doesn't matter which printer I use - PDFCreator, Bullzip PDF, Adobe PDF
• Windows 10 build 1803
• Happens when printing from many apps - Microsoft Office, LibreOffice, Email
• Works properly when printing from other apps - Notepad, Notepad++, browsers
• Happens on multiple computers - desktop and laptop

Any tips on how to get the printer default paper size to work?
