Windows 10: Legal to put SQL EXPRESS on licensed WIN 11 PRO or ENTEPRISE?

Hello, i would like to know. We will need in our company SQL express with multiple access connection for about 5 pcs. Is it legal to use "server pc" licensed as Windows 11 PRO or Enterprise? Thank you in advance.

Windows 11 Microsoft SQL 2022 Express Edition

Hey,

currently in work we have PC with Windows 11 Pro license which is used as small "server". Here we have installed MS SQL servers.
We want to add new software database into MS SQL 2022 Express Edition but software creator said we need Windows Server License in order to use SQL Express in local network so client computers can connect to our "server".

Do we really need an Windows Server license for this?

 

SQL Server express 2016 not installing on windows 10 pro

I downloaded SQL Server express 2016 which seems to be supported on windows 10 pro. The install claims my OS isn't supported.

What is the latest version of sql server I can install? Is there something I need to do to trick 2016 into installing on windows 10 pro?

 

.NET app not connecting to Sql Server 2008 R2 & Sql Express after Windows 11 upgrade.

Does anyone know if there is a fix to this ? After installing Windows 11, my .NET app does not connect to SQl Server 2008 R2 or Sql Express anymore. I get the error below.
