Windows 10: Legally migrate from pirated Windows to legit Windows 10 Pro

I currently have a pirated version of Windows 10 Education and I've been looking to buy Windows 10 Pro (retail) to not have to worry about updates or anything, but I have a couple of questions.

If I buy a key from the Microsoft Store, will this be the Retail version that will be associated with my Microsoft account instead of the motherboard? I would like to keep Windows activated if I ever decide to upgrade in the future.

I will be doing a clean install on a new M.2 drive that I bought. If I do it like this, will I be able to link my Windows key with my Microsoft account? At my devices when I log into Microsoft, my current PC is listed there under Windows 10 Education. Will I be able to unlink my current E-Mail with that pirated Windows and just relink the Pro key with the same E-Mail and have a new device listed there? Will I also be able to use the Microsoft Store with the same E-Mail I have now under the pirated version, but with a legit version?

I'm sorry if any of this is simple. I'm just looking to keep all my things as it is right now but have it be legit.

Clean Windows 10 (?PRO?) install

As far as I am aware there is no Windows 10 Pro version.
But I'd be happy to be wrong.

Windows 10 Tweaks

Pressing “Windows+Pause Break” (it’s up there next to scroll lock) opens the “System” Window.

Windows 10: In the new version of Windows, Explorer has a section called Quick Access. This includes your frequent folders and recent files. Explorer defaults to opening this page when you open a new window. If you’d rather open the usual This PC, with links to your drives and library folders, follow these steps:

• Open a new Explorer window.
• Click View in the ribbon.
• Click Options.
• Under General, next to “Open File Explorer to:” choose “This PC.”
• Click OK
